CKeller Law is committed to protecting the privacy and security of individuals who visit our website or communicate with our office. This Privacy Policy explains the types of information we collect, how that information is used, and the rights available under the laws of Colorado, Florida, and Wyoming. By using ckellerlaw.com, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1. Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our website, certain information may be gathered automatically by our servers or analytics tools. This may include your IP address, device type, browser information, operating system, referring URLs, the pages you view, and the dates and times of your visits. This data helps us understand how visitors interact with the site and allows us to improve security, performance, and functionality. You remain anonymous unless you voluntarily submit personal information.
1.2. Information You Provide Voluntarily
If you contact the Firm—whether through an online form, email, telephone, or other method—you may provide your name, contact details, and any information you choose to share about your legal matter. This information is used to respond to your inquiry and manage communications. Providing information through the website does not create an attorney–client relationship unless a separate engagement agreement has been executed.
2. Use of Cookies, Pixels, and Similar Technologies
Our website may use cookies, pixel tags, and related tools to enhance user experience and analyze website activity. Cookies are small files stored by your browser that help us recognize returning visitors, understand browsing patterns, and personalize site features. Pixel tags are small graphic elements that track online behavior and email interaction.
You may adjust your browser settings to disable or limit cookies; however, certain functions of the website may not operate properly if cookies are disabled.
Third-party providers, including Google, may use cookies and other tools to deliver advertisements based on your past interactions with our website. Any data collected through these tools is subject to this Privacy Policy and to the applicable third-party privacy policies. You may opt out of certain interest-based advertising through your browser settings or through Google’s advertising controls.
3. How We Use Your Information
4.1. General Usage
Information collected by CKeller Law may be used to:
• respond to inquiries, questions, or requests for consultations;
• provide information about Firm services;
• analyze and improve website functionality;
• maintain administrative records;
• meet professional, ethical, and legal obligations;
• enhance the performance and security of our website; and
• support internal operations or compliance functions.
We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising or commercial gain.
4.2. Third-Party Payment Processing (LawPay)
We offer clients the ability to pay invoices online through a payment portal provided by LawPay, a third-party payment processor designed for law firms. The payment page may display CKeller Law’s name and logo but is hosted and controlled by LawPay, not by CKeller Law.
When you follow a payment link from our website, email, or invoice, you are interacting directly with LawPay. LawPay collects and processes your payment information on our behalf. CKeller Law does not receive or store your full credit or debit card number, card security code (CVV/CVC), or bank account credentials. LawPay encrypts card details and, in accordance with industry standards, only truncated information (such as the last four digits of your card number) appears on receipts or in our administrative view of transactions.
Through our LawPay merchant portal, we typically see only the information necessary to identify and reconcile payments, which may include:
- your name and basic contact information associated with the payment;
- the date and time of the transaction and the amount paid, including any applicable surcharge or fee;
- an internal reference such as invoice number, matter or case name, or other description you or our office provided;
- the payment method (e.g., credit or debit card, eCheck/ACH, or permitted financing options);
- limited card or bank details, such as the card brand and last four digits of the card or account number, used only to help us identify which payment method was used; and
- which CKeller Law account received the funds, and who in our office entered or initiated the transaction (if applicable), for internal accounting and audit purposes.
LawPay is independently responsible for the security of cardholder data it processes and maintains. We encourage you to review LawPay’s own terms of use and privacy policy, available on its website, for further details about how it handles your information. Our use of LawPay is also subject to the professional and ethical rules governing attorneys’ handling of client funds and confidential information.
4. Sharing and Disclosure of Information
The Firm does not disclose personal information unless such disclosure is legally required or necessary for operational reasons. Disclosure may occur:
• to comply with court orders, regulatory demands, or legal obligations;
• to enforce Firm policies or protect the Firm, clients, or the public;
• to service providers who support website hosting, analytics, or security; or
• with your consent.
Any service providers assisting CKeller Law must maintain confidentiality and handle information in a manner consistent with this Policy and professional ethical rules.
We do not share information with third parties for marketing purposes and do not sell email lists.
5. Data Security
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to safeguard personal information, including limiting internal access and using secure networks. Despite these precautions, no internet-based system can guarantee complete security. Electronic submission of information carries inherent risks, and communication through our website does not establish an attorney–client relationship.
6. Rights of Colorado, Florida, and Wyoming Residents
Depending on the jurisdiction in which you reside, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information.
Colorado
Under the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), residents may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data, or to opt out of certain types of data processing. Many CPA provisions do not apply to law firms due to regulatory, ethical, and privilege-based exemptions. Any request will be evaluated within those constraints.
Florida
Florida residents may request access to or deletion of certain personal data subject to applicable exceptions under state law and the ethical duties governing attorneys. Some requests may not be granted when restricted by legal or professional obligations.
Wyoming
Wyoming imposes confidentiality and security expectations for entities managing personal information. CKeller Law strives to meet these standards by restricting access, maintaining secure systems, and complying with applicable laws. Wyoming residents may request review or correction of certain personal information, subject to attorney-client privilege and legal requirements.
To submit a request related to your personal data, please contact the Firm using the information provided below. All requests will be reviewed in accordance with state law, ethical rules, privilege obligations, and the practical needs of legal representation.
7. Children’s Privacy
Our website is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that such information has been inadvertently collected, we will take reasonable steps to remove it.
8. International Users
CKeller Law operates within the United States. If you access this website from outside the U.S., any personal information you provide will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the website, you consent to this transfer and processing.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, or Firm practices. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
